A Stylist's Guide to 5 Moncler Craig Green
Craig Green is no stranger to success with his eponymous line, founded in 2012, receiving British Menswear Designer at three consecutive ‘The Fashion Awards’. The London-born designer has a unique voice and vision when it comes to fashion, renowned for his hyper-detailed approach to design and a fascination with the construction and fabrication of his garments.
Working for a third time with the heritage outerwear brand Moncler two very different fashion voices have created another collection under the Moncler Genius umbrella. Expect to find details like detachable logo tags and a Moncler 'uniform' that is foldable thanks to the special construction of certain experimental designs. The inspirational new collection features an array of pieces to take note of and our resident stylist is on hand to walk us through the collection and how to wear it with our wardrobe.
"For the first look I’ve worked the whole outfit around the Sullivan Jacket which is part of the new Moncler Genius collection by Craig Green. The Sullivan Jacket is a down jacket that features a super lightweight material and heat pressed seams, opposed to the classic stitched style, enabling the jacket to fold down into a compact size. This concept was inspired by how the military fold their uniform. I’ve paired the long sleeve graphic jersey t-shirt, also new Moncler Genius, and added the Off-White cargo pant to continue the military influence. For footwear I'd choose the bulky Margiela Future sneaker, balancing the proportions of the coat and accessorising with a Christian Louboutin Tote and Gucci Ring."
"Look No.2 takes a different approach to the military influence, this time in the colour palette used; in this case, Craig Green has used an Olive Drab. The khaki trio that I have based the look around includes the Maher jacket, the Jacquard Hooded Sweatshirt and Gabardine Trouser. To compliment the look I’ve chosen the Y-3 Kyoi Hiking Sneaker and the Burberry Monogram T-shirt as a layering piece. To finish, the Côte+Ciel Bubble Rucksack echos the innovative cuts used by Craig Green within the collection."
"The red Coolidge Jacket from the Craig Green and Moncler Genius collection makes the perfect starting point for this final look. The Coolidge jacket is a sportier version of the Maher Jacket featured in look two. Distinctive Moncler branding can be found on the hood and this piece arrives in a more statement colour than it's khaki counterpart. Taking a more casual-luxe approach with this outfit I've included the Givenchy Label T-shirt layered under the Gucci sweatshirt and Christian Louboutin Louis Junior Sneaker which reflects the red and white in the jacket. To complete the look I’ve added a pair of washed out Neuw Denim jeans and the Givenchy Crossbody bag as a finishing touch."
