I forgot about the Christmas party! 4 Last minute looks
If you are anything like the people in the Giulio office (despite working in fashion) the outfit for the Christmas party can often be a last-minute affair. December is busy, to say the least: there are presents to be bought, relatives to be visited and work projects to complete. After all the rushing around it is easy to forget about finding an outfit for your Christmas party. But, all is not lost…. We’ve curated a selection of quick and easy (but still fabulous) Christmas party outfit ideas for 4 different scenarios.
1. “I want to be the centre of attention” – Okay maybe not the centre of it, but perhaps there is someone you are looking to impress, an office crush perhaps? Or you may just want to look glam for you (the perfect excuse for those in industries who seldom get the opportunity in day-to-day life). Nothing says 'look at me' like a sparkly dress and ostentatious faux fur coat. SHOP: Black Faux-Fur Coat, Tiered Floral Embroidered Mesh Mini Dress & Glitter Sock Ankle Boots.
2. “I need something sophisticated” – A black tie or evening event that requires something a little more than a cocktail dress. Yet, with a thousand and one dresses out there how do you choose ‘the one’? Self-Portrait is the answer to your evening wear prayers with gorgeous fabrics and flattering fits – they are all you need if you’re late to find that special outfit. Skip the black over-coat and colour block with a pastel McQ coat. SHOP: Bouclé Coat, Asymmetric Midi Dress & Alien Heels.
3. “But, I hate wearing dresses!” - We get it – dresses are not for everyone, and with that, and if you are not that kind of person then skirts are not favourable either. Here’s a fail-proof trouser look that will have you looking just as glam without the risk of any dress related mishaps. SHOP: Laetitia Cady Tailored Jacket, Lace Slip Top, Pant Carrie & Alien Heels.
4. “I’m coming straight from work” – No time to change? A lot of places depart directly from work and if you have got an un-budgeable meeting right before the celebrations begin the best you can hope for it to swap into a pair of heels knowing the rest of your outfit is already on point. SHOP: Fringed Detail Tweed Jacket, Ribbed High-Neck T-Shirt, Fringed Detail Tweed Skirt & Linda Sneakers.
