This year Gucci has seen incredible sales, exploding brand popularity and extensive collections under the new creative director Alessandro Michele. This season sees the same flamboyance, extreme attitude and opulence that can be seen in collections before as well as on the runway. Gucci’s PF18 collection is inspired by the works of Italian horror film director Dario Agento. The men’s PF18 collection has an uncanny schoolboy theme, reinventing a nightmarish catholic boarding school feel.
Alessandro Michele uses slim silhouettes in keeping with the schoolboy theme. There is also a use of excessive layering which has been a common theme this season.
The brand is staying accessory heavy with jewellery, bags and logo socks. Keeping in touch with the hypebeast following they continue to include the iconic sweatshirts and bold patterned sweatpants.
Gucci’s men’s PF18 collection is available to buy in-store and online.
