This year MONCLER GENIUS is presenting eight collections. The idea behind MONCLER GENIUS is to keep up with the constantly ever-evolving world, and with it, Moncler presents year-on-year how diverse each collection is.
2 MONCLER 1952 is named after the year Moncler was established, and is the only MONCLER GENIUS collection to be designed in house, by Sergio Zambon. The collection features not one, but three collaborations from Fergus Purcell, Mami Wata and Awake NY.
Fergus Purcell is the graphics guru who has created a global following for British streetwear labels, Silas and Palace Skateboards. For this collection, Purcell created a print inspired by African wax prints, which is complemented by Mami Wata’s African culture inspired graphics and is featured on garments throughout the collection. Awake NY is a brand that captures the cultural spirit and feeling of New York to create a classic and contemporary look, which is always a highly anticipated and ever in demand collection. The combination of Awake NY and Moncler in this collection see the logos boldly placed throughout the collection to create a harmonious blend of the two brands.
This collection is inspired by African landscapes and cultures, and is a “pop reinterpretation of the brand's heritage”, but at the centre of everything is the classic Moncler logo, driving the spirit and energy through the collection.
