Paris Fashion Week Trends to Wear this Weekend
Ah, the final stint of fashion shows is here. Paris, naturally, boasts a lot of inspiration for next season’s dressing and, with it, comes much to digest. As our appetites are wet with structured coats, floor-length skirts and woollen hats we usually have to save our outfit ideas for six months’ time: when autumn rolls around. However, giddy on inspiration for getting dressed, it seems needless to totally exclude ourselves from exploring the catwalks in our current ensembles. For now, we have decided to channel our energy and direct it towards our spring wardrobe – who said you have to save everything for September? Here are a few trends that we have spotted that can so easily become wearable looks that you could use this weekend (or tomorrow).
Belt up –
Mid-noughties we belted everything, then, as most trends do – the style slowly fell out of favour. This season they are more definitely back - in what has felt like every show. Large or small, colourful or muted incorporating a waist belt into your wardrobe is by far the easiest trend to interpret for spring/summer. Alexander McQueen presents a case for going seriously wide, but whether you opt for thin or oversized, try cinching in. Red & Pink –
Clash those colours. We saw it in both Balenciaga and Valentino. Clashing can seem daunting, so while going all out with a red t-shirt and fuchsia skirt might be too far for some an easy way to dip your toe in the trend in opting for a block red dress, and accessorising with exclusively pink.

Stay Preppy –
Many of the catwalks present shows where the women meant business. These sartorial lead looks were bold power dressing at its finest. There is no reason to save this for next season, start early by swapping trousers for shorts and tucking in neat white shirts and finding the sleekest of leather bags to accompany.
